Closets by Design is hiring a CNC Machinist/Operator
A CNC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts and components, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. This is a full-time position (Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week). Benefits include paid vacation and personal days after the probationary period.

Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Prepare and set up CNC machines based on job requirements, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.
- Programming: Write and modify CNC programs to control machining processes, optimizing efficiency and accuracy.
- Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections of machined parts to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, adjustments, and production metrics.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to create a secure working environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints, and a strong understanding of CNC machine operations and programming.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and address issues during the machining process.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials if required.
- Education: Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary training in CNC operation or a related field is advantageous.
